The ‘Coach Donahue Statue and 151 Roses Tribute’ project at the Rose Bowl Stadium will recognize the 151 career wins and five conference championships led by Coach Terry Donahue through the installation of bronze roses.  The Statue with planter bed of 151 Roses will be located near the UCLA Locker Room tunnel at the Rose Bowl and will be installed during the Stadium’s 100th year in 2022.

Donors that support the Terry Donahue Statue and the 151 bronze roses will be publicly recognized on a plaque located at the Rose Bowl Stadium associated with the project.

Donations will support the project, as well as the future preservation, protection and enhancement of the Rose Bowl Stadium as the home to the UCLA Bruins.  The venue, a National Historic Landmark, showcases the UCLA football players and coaches that Coach Donahue revered.

Terry Donahue is the winningest coach in the history of the Pacific-12 Conference and UCLA football.  In 2013, the premium and press box building at the Rose Bowl Stadium was officially dedicated as the Terry Donahue Pavilion.  He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2000.  In 1997, he was welcomed into the Rose Bowl Hall of Fame, and joined the UCLA Athletics Hall of Fame in 2001.  ESPN named Donahue one of the 150 Greatest College Coaches in its 2019 celebration of College Football’s 150th Anniversary.  Coach Donahue was also a valued member of the Rose Bowl Legacy Foundation Advisory Board and several visionary committees stewarding the Stadium’s vibrant future.
